Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle: gather requirements, define features, own the roadmap, and collaborate with engineering and industry partners.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define products and solutions that meet their needs.
  • Make strategic trade-off decisions and communicate your strategy to the broader organization.
  • Collaborate with various functions at Dolby, including ecosystem teams, marketing, sales, customer support, finance, and legal.
  • Travel occasionally to Sydney, Australia, and other locations for customer and partner visits.
  • Manage Dolby Atmos FlexConnect: evolve the current offering, enable technologies like device mapping and calibration, develop solutions, and create a product roadmap for wireless speakers.
  • Manage AC-4: an audio codec integrated into billions of devices to improve quality and compression.
  • Manage Dolby Atmos: an immersive audio format providing high-quality sound experiences on compatible devices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience with a proven track record.
  • Technical skills to engage with global engineering teams, preferably with knowledge of embedded software, SDKs, and audio technologies.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry, especially with audio products such as AVRs, DMAs, STBs, TVs, Soundbars, Smart speakers, portable speakers, and/or mobile phones.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building ecosystems by enabling multiple companies to work together for greater success.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of wireless protocols and standards related to audio devices.
  • Experience with product roadmaps and managing product lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.

  • Formal educational background including a bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an advanced degree is preferred.
