Job Description

About the Role

Hi 👋 I'm Rosalia, and I look after our Product Marketing team at Ashby. I started my career in Product Marketing and helped build the Sales Enablement function at HubSpot during its journey from startup to IPO. Since then, I've worked across RevOps and Customer Marketing at Procore and Meta, partnering with incredible teams to bring differentiated products to market. I joined Ashby in April of 2024 to lead Product Marketing, thrilled to build something meaningful with people I admire, and to help shape the future of hiring in a way that's thoughtful, effective, and human. We're a small team with high standards and mutual respect for our teammates and community. The way we do Product Marketing at Ashby reflects that, all with a good dose of fun 🎉. We value clarity over cleverness, lean into autonomy, and treat writing well and first-principles thinking as core parts of the job. We avoid jargon, favor plain English, and focus on helping customers and prospects genuinely understand what our product does and how it can help them. Though this role sits within Product Marketing, it acts as a key partner to our Sales and CS teams - working side by side with them to identify gaps, craft collateral, shape messaging, and build programs that drive progress in how we market, sell to and support Ashby customers. We're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to enable the sales team, lead competitive intelligence, expand audience messaging and support our company and market narrative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a strategic partner to sales and work with Sales to identify gaps in current enablement and build supporting materials such as persona guides, one-pagers, and strategic campaigns.
  • Act as the connective tissue between Product, Marketing, and Sales to drive alignment and execute cross-functionally on go-to-market priorities.
  • Deliver well-crafted trainings to sales in collaboration with other sales-supporting teams to advance competitive intelligence, audience positioning, and other initiatives.
  • Lead competitive intelligence by tracking market changes and turning insights into practical enablement for Sales and Customer Support, as well as public-facing collateral.
  • Develop documentation, training, and strategic positioning frameworks to help win competitive deals and defend our advantage.
  • Regularly brief leadership and GTM teams on market shifts and competitive trends.
  • Drive audience and market expansion efforts, including developing and validating messaging and strategy for new buyer personas, audiences, verticals, or segments.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Demand Generation, and Product to develop and activate campaigns tailored to new audiences, and lead the development of related collateral.

Requirements

  • Experience in a B2B SaaS growth organization.
  • Background in Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, Competitive Intelligence, Solutions Consulting, or Sales Engineering.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize market and competitor insights.
  • Confident writing and strategic thinking skills, comfortable owning copy and collaborating with design teams.
  • Ability to read product specifications and develop clear differentiation messaging.
  • Strong collaboration skills to weave insights from across the organization into clarity and alignment.
  • Curiosity, resourcefulness, and love for solving hard problems and influencing teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in go-to-market strategy, messaging development, and competitive positioning.
  • Experience with market research, focus groups, and message testing.
  • Ability to develop and activate campaigns for new markets or buyer segments.

Qualifications

  • No specific formal qualifications are explicitly listed; relevant experience in B2B SaaS and related fields is valued.

Benefits & Perks

  • 10-year exercise window for stock options.
  • Unlimited PTO and encouragement to take it.
  • Minimum of 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave, with regional variations for outside the US.
  • Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget.
  • $100/month education budget, with coverage for conferences and other expenses with manager approval.
  • Top-tier health insurance for US employees, fully covered by Ashby; high-quality supplemental health insurance for international employees.
  • 401k match for US employees.

Working at Ashby

We value clarity over cleverness, lean into autonomy, and prioritize well-written, first-principles thinking. We avoid jargon, focus on helping customers and prospects understand our product, and foster a culture of mutual respect, high standards, and fun. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce, welcoming people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities.
