About the Role

The Sr. Publicist, Global Publicity, works closely with the SVP and Global Publicity team to manage A-list talent across multiple film titles for all publicity-driven activities and select marketing initiatives. This role involves engaging and coordinating talent participation in global campaigns, ensuring seamless execution across international markets, and supporting the publicity efforts of NBCUniversal's film division within a dynamic, fast-paced entertainment environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day correspondence with talent representatives on all publicity and marketing requests.
  • Secure and deliver talent for global marketing and publicity initiatives, including trailer launches, special shoots, content days, junkets, appearances, press tours, film festivals, conventions, publicity stunts, and premieres.
  • Manage talent and their teams on-site during events such as premieres, appearances, content days, junkets, screening Q&As, award shows, podcasts, radio, and photo shoots, including providing guidance and key messaging.
  • Oversee APAC territories by providing talent parameters for publicity events, coordinating and overseeing all tours and regional junkets, liaising with markets on tour schedules and activations to ensure standout events with global coverage.
  • Send global press requests to talent and their representatives.
  • Assist in managing global publicity dates and preparing publicity reports.
  • Participate in Publicity staff/team meetings, Trailer Strategy meetings, Domestic Creative Content team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and ad hoc content support meetings.
  • Coordinate generic interview requests across all team titles, arranging interviews through junkets and securing talent participation.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to join the Local 600 Union.
  • 5+ years of experience in the entertainment industry, in theatrical publicity and/or marketing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Prior experience with international publicity or marketing working across multiple countries and markets.
  • Proven record of effective publicity and marketing plans.
  • Experience managing multiple films simultaneously with problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work proactively with internal and external partners.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong industry contacts with press, talent bookers, show producers, production companies, creative agencies, photographers, and event producers.
  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent.

Benefits & Perks

  • Hybrid work arrangement, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
  • Hourly rate of $46.660 as determined by the IATSE Union.
