About the Role

The Web Platform team is looking for an engineer to join the team responsible for the foundation of all web applications at Uber. This team focuses on providing a high-performance, secure, and reliable web ecosystem for all of our users (riders, drivers, eaters, and our internal operations & logistics teams) through the creation and support of developer tools, and frameworks. The team's main goal is to make Uber's web engineers productive and its web applications high quality utilizing a modern tech stack (React.js & Redux, ES2017+, RPC, and Node.js). Some of our main products include Fusion.js, the React framework Uber used in hundreds of internal and external web applications, as well as Base Web, Uber's React component library.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the development and maintenance of Uber's web ecosystem, including frameworks and developer tools.
Build and improve high-performance, secure, and reliable web applications using modern technologies such as React.js, Redux, ES2017+, RPC, and Node.js.
Support and enhance products like Fusion.js and Base Web to ensure they meet high standards of quality and performance.

Requirements

Experience with modern web development frameworks and tools, particularly React.js and Redux.
Proficiency in JavaScript (ES2017+), Node.js, and RPC protocols.
Ability to develop high-quality, high-performance web applications.
Experience working on large-scale web projects or frameworks.

Nice to Have

Experience with developer tools and frameworks.
Familiarity with internal and external web application ecosystems.

Qualifications

Professional experience in web development with React.js and Redux.
Strong JavaScript skills and experience with Node.js.
Experience with building or supporting web frameworks or libraries.
