Sr UX Designer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of user experience strategies for Fiserv's digital products and solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and user-centered principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and researchers, to gather user requirements and translate them into detailed design specifications.
• Conduct comprehensive user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and contextual inquiry to gather insights on user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
• Leverage research findings to drive and validate design decisions.
• Create and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and interaction flows that effectively communicate design ideas and user interactions.
• Apply various ideation methods to generate design artifacts that clearly convey the intended goal or purpose, following best practices in typography, color, grid, and composition.
• Ensure the designs align with Fiserv's visual design language and brand guidelines, producing high-quality, consistent experiences across web and mobile environments, including knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Android UI, and iOS UI.
• Evangelize the User-Centered Iterative Design Process, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and user-focused design.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, advocating for the value of user-centered design while incorporating feedback to refine designs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in user experience/product design.
• 3+ years of experience in research interviewing, usability testing, competitive & comparative analysis, and contextual inquiry.
• 3+ years of experience with tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
• 3+ years of Design Thinking/Workshop facilitation experience.
• 1+ years of experience in AI integration in a case study in building a product.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience in financial services industry.
• Experience in designing for web and mobile applications.
• Experience in HTML and CSS.

Benefits & Perks

• This is a full-time, direct-hire position with a salary range of $96,400.00 - $162,000.00, applicable to employees in New Jersey, New York, and California.
• The role is fully on-site.
• No contract options or unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• The position is not eligible for an annual incentive or commissions.
