Staff IT Analyst III - Business Continuity Program Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support the maturity, development, implementation, and enhancement of the organization's business continuity strategic frameworks.
• Develop and improve testing protocols, policies, and procedures related to business continuity.
• Manage critical business continuity projects to strengthen operational resilience capabilities.
• Review current processes and metrics to support operational effectiveness and identify constraints or opportunities.
• Lead development and review of artifacts to accurately describe current processes and practices, including documenting alternative options and their impacts.
• Facilitate discussions with IT, Product, and Business subject matter experts to understand problems or opportunities and validate findings.
• Ensure business outcomes are achieved by leading projects, setting deadlines, and resolving issues.
• Develop critical documentation and high-quality deliverables, communicating findings and impacts effectively.
• Leverage risk management experience, especially in risk, compliance, or corporate governance, from a large financial institution.
• Maintain and improve business continuity policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and regulations.
• Develop and maintain KRIs, KPIs, and operational metrics, and produce reporting to communicate program status and effectiveness.
• Mature business continuity testing frameworks to validate recovery capabilities across all business units, including full-scale exercises.

Requirements

• 7+ years of related experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Project Management or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Entry level to intermediate knowledge of Financial Services or Banking preferred.
• Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules, and industry standards.
• Professional certification preferred (CBCP, MBCI, PMP, or equivalent).
• Intermediate to advanced skills in process and data analysis utilizing critical thinking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Power BI and diagramming software (e.g., Lucid, Visio).
• Technical aptitude within a specific domain.
• Strong executive-level communication skills in speaking and writing.
• Understanding of business continuity frameworks (ISO 22301, NIST, DRI Professional Practices).
• Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed.

Nice to Have

• Experience with risk, compliance, or corporate governance in a financial institution.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 22301, NIST, DRI Professional Practices.
