About the Role

The Staff Product Manager at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is responsible for directing comprehensive product strategies from conception through end of life, working across design, manufacturing, quality, testing, marketing, and distribution. The role involves formulating and executing long-term roadmaps, promoting new technologies and industry trends, and overseeing all phases of product lifecycle management for mobile broadband and wireless networking products.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute software roadmap for mobile broadband and wireless networking products.
Identify market gaps through complex analyses of market, customer, technology, and ecosystem demands, and use this information to guide design conversations.
Ensure comprehensive documentation of requirements, technical specifications, user guides, and release notes.
Create and maintain a detailed Software product roadmap outlining key milestones, features, and timelines.
Lead team collaboration in creating business cases and validate cases for developing new, complex products to ensure alignment with business direction.
Market new and complex products and technologies through technical marketing opportunities such as conferences, congresses, and direct customer contact, and drive product launch efforts.
Prepare and deliver highly complex technical presentations regarding product roadmaps to customers.
Translate customer feedback and external environment insights into potential product roadmap changes and communicate these to senior leaders.
Oversee the development of highly complex products or new product areas and services, maintaining communication across functional teams.
Complete product development and definition activities for new or highly complex products, including cost and impact determination, and interact with sales to generate forecasts.
Stay up-to-date on competitors, technological advances, and the product ecosystem, leading development and design innovation to differentiate products.
Communicate regularly with leadership to ensure cross-functional understanding of product plans.
Ensure successful cross-functional collaboration by meeting KPIs and specifications for new, complex products upon delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders and program sponsors to develop product goals, discuss feasibility, and facilitate decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex information.
Ability to make significant impact decisions independently.
Experience with strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration.
Advanced data analysis and interpretation skills.
Exceptional creativity for innovation in products and processes.

Nice to Have

Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or MBA.
10+ years of Product Management managing the full lifecycle of products from concept to launch.
Product management experience with Fixed Wireless Access and/or WiFi gateway products.
Experience with software architecture design and Linux-based operating systems like OpenWRT and Yocto Embedded Linux.
Experience with RDK-B and prplOS open-source frameworks for CPE and gateway products.
Experience with Cellular (4G/5G), WiFi (6/6E/7), and BLE technologies and standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
5+ years of Product Management or related experience.
