Staff Product Manager, Box AI

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, development, and execution of the Box AI platform, integrating advanced AI capabilities such as large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and vector databases into the Box Content Cloud.
• Define and own a technically complex product area, balancing the needs of internal stakeholders, enterprise customers, and the rapidly evolving field of AI-driven content management.
• Lead end-to-end product development, from identifying business problems to building AI-driven solutions, executing product roadmaps, and driving iteration based on user feedback and data.
• Launch AI-powered products that deliver measurable results, validating product-market fit and scaling AI applications across enterprise use cases.
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, and machine learning teams to design, build, and deploy AI applications for large-scale content workflows and automation.
• Establish a metrics-driven approach to product development, conducting A/B testing and performance evaluations to improve AI product outcomes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer success, and sales, to ensure that AI-driven products meet customer needs and business goals.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI and machine learning, ensuring Box remains at the forefront of enterprise AI innovation.
• Lead go-to-market strategies, partnering with key teams to effectively communicate the value of Box AI products to enterprise customers.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with AI model training and successfully bringing AI-powered applications and products to market, including proficiency in supervised fine-tuning (SFT), reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF), transfer learning, and unsupervised learning.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Retriever-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and contextual optimization for AI models.
• Knowledge of market-leading large language models (LLMs) such as GPT, BERT, PaLM, and the ability to make informed decisions on model selection and customization.
• Proven track record of launching successful AI-powered products at scale, with enterprise or consumer AI applications in the market today.
• Strong product management rigor, including experience in user research, defining and tracking product metrics, and delivering measurable results.
• Technical background with experience working with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and cross-functional teams to bring AI solutions to market.
• Comfort with driving product strategy, iterating quickly, and scaling AI products to enterprise-grade solutions.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise SaaS products and understanding of enterprise customer needs.
• Minimum of 4+ years of product management experience in AI/ML.
• Hold a technical degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields, with practical experience in AI, machine learning, or cloud infrastructure.

• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS product development and deployment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4+ years of product management experience in AI/ML.
• A technical degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.

• Competitive salary range: $204,500 - $255,500 USD, dependent on experience and location.
• Work environment includes a hybrid model with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, focusing on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
