Staff Product Manager - Rate Plans

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and drive the long-term product vision and strategy aligned with company goals, focusing on rate plans and pricing strategies to optimize revenue and customer satisfaction.
• Own and manage a portfolio of products, ensuring strategic alignment across product lines; prioritize initiatives related to pricing structures and rate plans, balancing profitability and customer value.
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to deliver products that meet business objectives; provide thought leadership and clear direction, especially on pricing strategy and market needs.
• Drive market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer pain points; use data to influence rate plan and pricing decisions.
• Develop and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives; lead initiatives to enhance rate plans and pricing models, communicating milestones to stakeholders.
• Define key product success metrics (KPIs), particularly around rate plans and pricing models, and monitor performance; use data insights to refine strategies and optimize offerings.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; serve as a key contact for product vision, pricing strategy, and rate plan updates.
• Provide mentorship to junior product managers, fostering growth and development within the team, especially regarding pricing models and market-based positioning.
• Identify opportunities to scale product development, improve efficiencies, and reduce time to market, particularly when implementing pricing structures and rate plans.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or strategic role.
• Strong background in working with rate plans, pricing models, or similar revenue-driving elements.
• Ability to define, communicate, and lead product strategy with a focus on pricing and rate plans.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional team management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and operational teams.
• Deep understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decisions and measure success, especially in pricing strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, adapting pricing models and rate plans based on new insights or market conditions.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop product managers, fostering a high-performance culture around pricing strategies.
