About the Role

The Staff Product Marketing Manager, Security at Okta will help accelerate the company's security narrative by crafting and evangelizing Okta's security story, especially in the context of AI. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Marketing, this role involves elevating Okta's profile as a security-focused company and developing strategic content and programs to communicate the value of identity as security. The position requires a self-motivated, outcome-oriented individual capable of balancing input from stakeholders, market insights, and customer needs to form a clear point of view.

Key Responsibilities

Build the go-to-market strategy on how to evangelize the need for identity as security, including defining investment strategies for industry events, thought leadership content, and targeted campaigns.
Create differentiated security messaging for sales and customers that conveys Okta's security value proposition.
Build security thought leadership programs through white papers, research studies, reports, etc.
Represent Okta at security events to raise the company's profile and establish a unique point of view, including selecting events and defining messaging.
Support security product launches and new content campaigns across the company to maximize awareness and impact.
Work cross-functionally with corporate security, business technology, product management, engineering, sales, and enablement teams.

Requirements

6+ years experience as a product marketer in cybersecurity or identity management.
Experience driving large-scale, company-impacting product launches.
Experience writing or leading security-focused thought leadership and customer-facing content.
Ability to manage senior stakeholders with differing priorities.
High sense of urgency.
A background in security software and an understanding of the security landscape.

Nice to Have

CS Degree or technical background.
Cloud Security Experience.

Qualifications

Educational background in computer science or related technical field (preferred).
Experience in cloud security (preferred).
