Staff Technical Program Manager - Backend Integration

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead critical technical programs within the Platform & Security teams focused on resilience, scalability, and security initiatives.
• Orchestrate the planning, execution, and delivery of platform architecture improvements that enhance system reliability and fault tolerance.
• Champion chaos engineering practices to proactively identify and address potential failure points in infrastructure.
• Guide cross-functional teams in implementing platform security controls while maintaining operational excellence.
• Coordinate architectural reviews and technical decision-making processes for major platform enhancements.
• Build strong relationships across engineering, operations, and product teams to align platform initiatives with business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field.
• 6+ years of technical program management experience with significant focus on backend/platform security.
• Deep understanding of backend technologies, cloud infrastructure, and security principles for distributed systems.
• Ability to communicate complex backend security concepts to both engineers and leadership.
• Experience managing multiple technical projects across distributed infrastructure environments.
• Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams and willingness to travel as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions and drive security adoption in backend systems.
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in backend vulnerability assessment and risk mitigation.
• Ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure while considering system architecture implications.
• Skill in translating technical backend security requirements to practical implementation strategies.

• Educational background in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
