About the Role

The Associate Director, HCP and Patient Influencer Marketing at starpower, part of W2O Group, supports influencer marketing strategy development and campaign execution within the healthcare and wellness sectors. This role involves educating clients and internal teams on influencer best practices, managing multi-channel influencer campaigns, and providing strategic counsel to clients. The position is hybrid, based in New York or remote within the US, and aims to leverage influencer partnerships to drive results and organic growth in healthcare marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Educate clients and internal teams about the value of working with online Influencers in the HCP, Patient and Lifestyle space.
  • Understand and communicate Influencer best practices for building relationships, campaigns, including pitching, payment, measurement, and FTC guidelines.
  • Manage day-to-day Influencer campaigns with the team, ensuring deadlines are met, work back plans are curated, and collaborating cross-functionally with other specialty teams.
  • Oversee execution of multi-pronged influencer campaigns, including influencer identification, negotiation, contracting, legal and regulatory approvals, campaign execution, and reporting/measurement.
  • Generate original ideas to amplify client efforts through Influencer marketing and stay informed on industry landscape and trends.
  • Identify and pitch new opportunities to help drive organic client growth.
  • Provide senior-level counsel to clients and mentor junior team members.
  • Lead client communications, support in selling ideas, and participate in planning sessions, business pitches, and presentations.
  • Assist in the overall growth of the agency through new business and networking activities.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a role with experience driving Influencer marketing.
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical influencer landscape, specifically managing HCP and Patient campaigns.
  • Knowledge of FMV and Regulatory requirements for working with healthcare influencers.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to bring fresh ideas and process improvements.
  • Strategic mindset and deep knowledge of Influencer marketing.
  • Superior relationship-building skills and ability to develop meaningful partnerships.
  • Experience managing a team, supporting learning and development, and mentorship.
  • Proficiency in social media, both personally and professionally.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to develop authentic influencer relationships and storytelling.
  • Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with paid social media campaigns supporting influencer initiatives.
  • Experience with Influencer and Social Media tools such as Julius/HYPR, Traackr, CreatorIQ, Influencer Intelligence, Brandwatch.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical marketing.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in healthcare marketing.
  • Experience with influencer marketing tools and analytics platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in influencer marketing, preferably in healthcare.
