Strategic Development Specialist II - Defense & Intelligence

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of value-added products that inform the SMS Military Space, National Space, and Tactical Solutions Strategic Business Units' strategies.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement contact plans for SMS defense and intelligence customers and stakeholders.
• Represent BAE Systems SMS in the Washington, DC area by attending and analyzing stakeholder/customer meetings and industry association activities.
• Draft content for white papers, talking points, presentations, and materials to support stakeholder/customer meetings.
• Provide assessments of markets and business opportunities in coordination with the Market & Competitive Intelligence team within StratOps.
• Ensure coordination of BAE Systems SMS messaging, consistent with strategies and goals.
• Provide research and analysis on key policies and legislation impacting the defense and intelligence customer communities, including DoD, IC, and other stakeholders.
• Foster informative relationships with SMS defense and intelligence customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Develop subject matter expertise in SMS defense and intelligence programs, pursuits, and capabilities.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within StratOps, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the Company.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

• BS/BA in a related field plus 2 or more years of related experience.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Polygraph.
• Ability to work on-site four or more days each week in the primary work location.
• Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited university, college, or school recognized by the US Secretary of Education or US Department of Education.
