Strategic Marketing Manager - Adjacent Spaces

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Global new business development in Adjacent Spaces - Non-Petroleum Additives (blasting agents, solvent extractants, etc).
• Research and identify potential markets of interest and fit in collaboration with the NBD team.
• Conduct market audits to research and evaluate non-PA markets, including market size, competitive landscape, and growth projections, to make strategic recommendations.
• Lead development of business cases for entry into non-PA spaces.
• Build relationships with potential clients to broaden market intelligence and generate sales opportunities.
• Develop insights to guide strategy based on publicly available information, purchased research, industry interviews, and internal knowledge.
• Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to enhance market knowledge.
• Complete market analysis for petroleum additives (grease, components, shock absorber oils, etc) to size global market opportunity, identify target customers, and understand the competitive environment.
• Develop sales and marketing plans to expand access to adjacent spaces.
• Collaborate with strategic and regional marketing teams to develop marketing initiatives for growth.
• Work with R&D and business teams to create components collateral for targeted customers.
• Support global marketing and business teams to execute growth activities.

Requirements

• BA degree or qualification in Marketing, Business or related field.
• Strong, relevant work experience in a Marketing/Business environment.
• Proven success in a full mix B2B Marketing / Business Management role.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to lead and influence internally and externally to achieve objectives.
• Initiative to drive value in assigned areas.
• Effective team working skills to ensure successful project completion.
• Excellent analytical skills to assimilate large data sets, develop insights, and articulate strategies.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to achieve business goals.
• Effective project management skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to quickly changing business environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
