Job Description

About the Role

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce. The Global Research Partnerships team drives the hundreds of partnerships that are required to support the vast array of Research Product Area initiatives, which collectively touch and impact just about every Google Product Area. We support innovation rather than products and our work is transformational, through impacts that accrue over time. The agreements we drive are typically highly negotiated, bespoke agreements, often involving complex IP considerations and in highly regulated environments. We engage strategically vs. transactionally, spending significant time upfront to understand the technology and develop thoughtful partnerships strategies, before executing partnerships. This role specifically supports the Health AI team within Google Research. Health AI's mission is to catalyze the adoption of human-centered AI in health. Health AI is an impact-driven research team in Google Research. We believe that AI can help to make healthcare more personalized, accessible, and effective. Health AI is researching and building novel health technologies that assist consumers via Google offerings and developers via the broader ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and own overall agreement flow and own the execution process from agreement initiation to execution leveraging Google's internal tools and processes.
  • Scope, draft, negotiate, and close agreements related to the Health AI space covering areas including but not limited to acquiring NA health content for the broader team, driving research and trusted tester partnerships for key areas such as MedGemma and Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) and other novel technologies as they arise.
  • Build, manage and maintain strong business relationships with key NA beachhead partners.
  • Work closely with Google legal and other cross-functional partners (i.e., finance) to review and gain alignment on all agreements and resolve open issues and risk points.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or management consulting in the health, social impact, or AI field.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or AI/ML.
  • Experience in technology, business development, or other entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience working with a variety of partners including health companies, NGOs, and academic institutions.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical and detail-oriented execution.
  • Excellent communication, investigative, problem-solving, process navigation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Passion for technology and emerging/early-stage products and interest in science and health.

Qualifications

  • Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Benefits & Perks

  • US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
  • Additional benefits include bonus, equity, and other benefits as offered by Google.

Working at Google
