Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Ensure realistic project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained.
  • Monitor and control allocated human and material resources, associated revenue costs, and all capital costs against the project budget. Ensure a change control procedure is in place and actively used.
  • Lead one or more project teams, allocating and monitoring tasks, motivating staff, and supporting individual performance.
  • Act as the liaison between the customer and supplier organizations, enabling effective and efficient communication. Manage internal and external stakeholders as necessary on all project phases.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the projects and implement solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects.
  • Ensure projects are formally closed and reviewed, capturing lessons learned and taking appropriate action.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations/decisions on technical options in line with organizational strategies.
  • Work within the defined organizational governance framework, possibly under the oversight of a project management office.
  • Travel including overnight stays, may be required to support site migrations and attend meetings.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years proven experience in managing projects, specifically 3rd party, public-facing projects, and enterprise-grade project implementations across multiple locations.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., APM PMP, PgMP) are expected.
  • Knowledge of software-defined network rollouts.
  • Good grounding in traditional project management governance practices and a good understanding of agile ways of working and sprint management.
  • Experience managing large projects and multiple, concurrent IT projects.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and influence teams and senior executives alike.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, assign and manage work activities, meet deadlines, and develop project management reporting in a timely and effective manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to use tools like Jira, Confluence, Keyedin, Teams, etc.
  • Good problem-solving skills, seeing the bigger picture and getting things done in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Passionate about technology with the ability to translate solutions so they are easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism, energy and passion, with a sense of urgency to 'make things happen'.

Nice to Have

  • Experience of working in a complex project environment for a Global organization.
  • Degree level education or equivalent.
  • Certified Project Management and/or Change Management qualifications.
  • Experience of negotiating with and managing 3rd parties.

Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications (e.g., APM PMP, PgMP).
