Student Content Specialist - Digital Marketing

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, optimize, organize and schedule new and existing blog content
• Write, edit and optimize event listings on events.gcu.edu
• Write, edit and optimize website content updates
• Utilize our content management system (CMS) to post content on gcu.edu
• Act as the liaison between marketing and the colleges for all blog projects
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Demonstrate strong writing and editing skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office programs
• Experience with CMS and project management programs preferred
• Knowledge of SEO preferred
• Students pursuing an education in marketing, web development, SEO, writing or project management preferred
• Must be able to work in a high-paced work environment and complete tasks and deadlines timely and accurately
• Interest in writing about academia, specifically GCU's colleges and degree programs
• Must work in the Phoenix area year-round
• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor's or master's program
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a bachelor's-level student or a 3.0 GPA as a master's-level student
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the university

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of SEO
• Experience with CMS and project management programs

Qualifications

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor's or master's program
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a bachelor's-level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master's-level student
