About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Be available to attend and travel to conferences, field trips, and other GSP-sponsored events.
• Weekend and evening availability as needed.
• Create, save, copy, edit, and share photos and video content.
• Assist with recording photography and videography content.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least nine (9) graduate or six (6) undergraduate semester credit hours during the work term.
• Applicants must be a senior or junior Mass Communication student.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Experience with photojournalism and digital video production.
• Ability to create, save, copy, edit, and share photo and video content.
• Enrolled for at least three (3) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during summer or preregistered for at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours for fall/spring.

Nice to Have

• Earning a degree in Communications with a concentration in Mass Communication or Digital Media.
• Experience with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Threads).
• Ability to use computer software, including Microsoft and Adobe suites.
• Excellent written, digital, and oral communication skills.

Qualifications
