Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise RFP creation and review of social partners, proposal analyses, and partner negotiations
  • Oversee junior team campaign buying from set-up to keyword selection through to targeting buckets, optimization, and pacing/reporting; implement QA processes
  • Guide planner in campaign set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of each campaign
  • Ensure all trafficking and site tagging is accurate by junior team members
  • Lead strategic social plan development in tandem with the Digital & Business Solutions teams
  • Integrate social insights into overall planning process, incorporating data, research, and analytics into recommendations
  • Partner closely with other Horizon Next teams, building cross-team relationships and incorporating relevant extensions
  • Drive team brainstorms to develop plans and consideration sets
  • Develop POVs around relevant trends, tools, and emerging opportunities within paid social media
  • Own creation and development of media-specific documents such as media plans, objectives and strategies decks
  • Maintain oversight of junior team’s data analysis and client feedback to provide recommendations and optimizations
  • Actively drive optimization strategies, communicating challenges and opportunities to internal teams and clients
  • Parse large datasets to provide analysis, draw conclusions, and identify actionable insights
  • Lead development of processes with Analytics & Business Intelligence teams to standardize data across accounts
  • Oversee data aggregation for dashboards and trackers, ensuring accuracy
  • Determine campaign setup, testing methodologies, reporting, and optimization to ensure full impact and efficiency
  • Own relationships with key partners during planning, including Partners, Creative Agencies, and Business Solutions team
  • Build relationships with other departments such as Business Solutions, Traffic, and Operations
  • Apply knowledge of clients’ business and industry to enhance relationships
  • Build trust and positive relationships with clients
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify problems and recommend solutions
  • Manage and develop junior team members, creating growth plans and providing career guidance
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and training to maximize success
  • Participate in interview process for junior roles
  • Guide team in setting goals, project tasks, and timelines, ensuring opportunities for skill development

Requirements

  • Strong writer and presenter skills

  • 3+ years of paid social media experience
  • Thorough knowledge of advanced analytics and performance media
  • Understanding of marketing principles, analytics, and concepts
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience buying ads on Facebook and Instagram; additional platforms preferred
  • Exposure to advanced targeting and retargeting tactics in social media
  • Ability to manage budgets and investments in social media

Nice to Have

  • Experience with additional social platforms beyond Facebook and Instagram
