About the Role

The Systems Architect Manager at Nova will lead the specification and development of a new product class based on low latency, high bandwidth connected platforms for use in semiconductor manufacturing and development. This role involves overseeing data analytics software implementation, managing data projects, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that guide business performance and growth. The position reports to the Corporate Vice President and Sr. management team, offering an opportunity to be a foundational member of a transformative effort within a company recognized for workplace excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, deployment, and optimization of hardware platforms with supporting software to run real-time algorithms and analytics, storing data and interfacing with broad manufacturing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with department leads to identify business questions and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to meet strategic needs.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data models and technical specifications.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of analysts and/or contractors.
  • Ensure high-quality data integrity, validation processes, and governance.
  • Provide data storytelling that drives alignment and decision-making across all levels of the organization.
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve analytics capabilities and efficiency.
  • Present findings and performance insights to senior leadership and executive teams.
  • Architect and build an appropriate platform based upon requirements developed in collaboration with other stakeholders for multimodal data synthesis and high-throughput actioning.
  • Lead engineering efforts across disciplines including machine learning, hardware, and physics simulation.
  • Source platform components to build a prototype platform in anticipation of full product build, focusing on system optimization, reliability, and scalability.
  • Work with application developers to incorporate applications onto the platform.
  • Implement APIs and user interfaces to deliver actionable results to operators, engineers, or other systems.
  • Work with key customers to roll out and implement the platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science, business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems or platform engineering, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial or lead role.
  • Strong proficiency in analytics software such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel; knowledge of Python or R is a plus; GPU acceleration a plus.
  • Experience working with large datasets and cloud data platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and building a data-driven culture.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with physics-based modeling and operationalizing them.
  • Ability to work with multiple sophisticated measuring hardware technologies.

Qualifications

  • Educational background with a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred).
  • Experience in systems or platform engineering with leadership experience.
