Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Business Development Managers, assigned strategic portfolios of initiatives and projects, with team size adjusting based on the portfolio.
  • Develop, manage, and launch a prioritized project pipeline to provide a competitive advantage, balancing ease of completion and business impact.
  • Deliver professional account and partner management to develop and manage business opportunities with key industry partners, including relationship management, joint innovation road-mapping, and aligning strategic initiatives to value propositions.
  • Own and manage the reporting process of projects and sales with key partners and prospects.
  • Establish strong, collaborative relationships across functions such as Marketing/Strategy, Applications Engineering, Product Development, Product Line Management, and Sales.
  • Serve as a team member for select strategic initiatives related to projects or initiatives managed.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and opportunities in collaboration with Marketing/Strategy to support sales growth and positioning Henkel as a market leader.
  • Assess and communicate market needs to support new product development, innovation pipeline, and project portfolio.
  • Leverage understanding of customer and market needs to drive projects, deliver solutions, and upskill the commercial team.
  • Own the portfolio of Business Development projects and initiatives, aligned with business strategy.
  • Develop strategic plans to target new business and grow current business portfolio.
  • Coordinate with commercial teams and internal stakeholders to execute the overall business strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a science-based focus.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability in strategic planning and implementation.
  • Collaborative, credible, influential, and results-driven mindset.
  • High technical aptitude.
  • Interpersonal skills demonstrating confidence and relationship-building ability.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel to Mexico and Canada.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in business development within adhesives, sealants, or functional coatings industries.
  • Knowledge of market trends in consumer goods or industrial sectors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a science-based focus.
