Technical Project Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technical programs involving multiple engineering teams and stakeholders
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks across development lifecycles
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration and communication to ensure alignment on technical architecture and delivery goals
• Track and report on program metrics, milestones, and deliverables to executive leadership
• Drive technical decision-making processes and resolve architectural disagreements between teams
• Collaborate with engineering leads to optimize development workflows and deployment processes
• Partner with product managers, engineering directors, and business stakeholders to define technical requirements and priorities
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations affecting program delivery
• Coordinate with DevOps, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless product delivery

Requirements

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Provo, UT or willing to relocate
• This position may require travel in the US
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
• Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• 7+ years of technical program management experience leading complex software development projects
• 5+ years of experience with Java application development, including Spring Framework and microservices architecture
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale technical initiatives on time and within budget
• Experience managing cross-functional teams of 10+ engineers across multiple disciplines
• Strong project management skills with proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, and project tracking software
• Strong understanding of full-stack web application architecture, RESTful APIs, and database design
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and agile development methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision-making approach
• Experience mentoring junior team members and building high-performing engineering cultures
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments with changing priorities
