Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of medium-to-large-size projects ensuring activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments within Drive Products in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
  • Manage project scope definition and establish the project execution approach following a Gate model, including execution planning, monitoring, and control activities for both internal and external resources.
  • Define and apply project scheduling techniques to proactively manage schedule risks and avoid schedule deviations impacting on-time delivery.
  • Identify and manage risks, ensuring mitigation opportunities are pursued effectively.
  • Understand Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) enclosed product offerings to establish timely and effective costing tools for customer proposals, leveraging commercial pricing and margin strategies.
  • Work with Product Management to ensure cost targets are within project guidelines.
  • Act as the key contact and escalation point for project issues.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or Business Management. PMP certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment.
  • Experience managing technical projects using Project Gate models.
  • Ability to develop high performing teams, maintain project timelines, and deliver value to customers.
  • Understanding of product costing and pricing principles.
  • Working knowledge of MS Teams, MS Office/O365, and SAP.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English.
  • Valid driver's license and work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Nice to Have

  • PMP certification.

  • Degree in Engineering or Business Management.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in relevant environments.
