The Trip Optimizer (TO) Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) Technical Project Manager (TPM) will work directly with BNSF, and Wabtec resources across the company internal groups, serving as a customer-facing liaison responsible for overall execution of the Trip Optimizer Software Maintenance Agreement, ensuring timely resolution of support requests, and engaging with various internal teams to support customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a customer-facing liaison and be responsible for overall execution of, and compliance with, the Trip Optimizer Software Maintenance Agreement for Customer's Trip Optimizer operation.
  • Coordinate point of contact for BNSF incident investigation, and maintenance requests associated with Trip Optimizer, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
  • Proactively seek improvement opportunities with the Railroad solutions, engage with the customer to diagnose and analyze technical and business process issues, and provide solution recommendations.
  • Interpret contracts and participate in proposal and contract development, as well as accounting for finances associated with the contractual support agreement.
  • Lead Trip Optimizer software releases (Engineering Runs, FTON, FMI, Control Points, etc.).
  • Use Clarity to manage the contract budget, cost, and revenue, and report on the financial status of the maintenance contract.
  • Participate in discussions about the future of the Services contract involving Sales, Commercial Operations, Contract Management, and Legal.
  • Identify, promote, and implement value-added, enhanced maintenance service offerings to expand the value of the contract.
  • Manage complex processes involving many stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Communicate with TPM peers on top issues, initiatives, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Plan, prepare, and/or instruct internal and external training programs to impart product knowledge.
  • Manage and track customer issues and requests using SalesForce enterprise management system.

Requirements

  • Four years experience in technical project management and support or related field support.
  • Ability to lead, drive, and track progress of multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to influence and drive results with stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop high levels of credibility and strong positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate clearly and concisely, tailored to audience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical/Business related field, Engineering or Sciences preferred, or equivalent military/industrial experience.
  • Working knowledge of fundamental railroad maintenance, operations, and train dispatching (preferred).
  • TO experience or other TP&A product experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of locomotive functions and operations (preferred).
  • Strong customer service mindset and motivation for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Working knowledge of fundamental railroad maintenance, operations, and train dispatching.
  • TO experience, other TP&A product experience.
  • Knowledgeable in locomotive functions and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical/Business related field, Engineering or Sciences preferred, or equivalent military/industrial experience.

  • Salary range between $77,400.00 and $110,300.00, influenced by experience and other factors.
