Technical Project Manager with P&C Domain

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Leads IT projects from start to finish, including implementation or customizations of insurance software applications, mobile/web technologies, system integrations, software upgrades, Intelligent Automation (RPA), and infrastructure.
• Manages three or more projects simultaneously, depending on project complexity, duration, and lifecycle phase, with most projects lasting 6 to 8 months.
• Manages a project team of matrixed resources, resolving challenges related to resource and schedule availability.
• Creates and maintains detailed project schedules for accurate tracking and progress reporting.
• Reconciles project team time cards with planned hours, investigates and resolves variances, and adjusts project efforts as necessary.
• Maintains and reconciles the project financial forecast, investigates variances, and manages project funds accordingly.
• Follows all documented PPM processes, procedures, and templates.
• Identifies, manages, and escalates project risks, issues, assumptions, and decisions.
• Prepares twice-monthly project status reports.
• Meets regularly with project teams, stakeholders, and sponsors.
• Facilitates the completion, approval, and storage of project artifacts.
• Ensures compliance with project management governance standards.
• Develops project charters, communication plans, risk management plans, responsibility matrices, resource plans, and project reporting structures.
• Supports and provides feedback to mature and improve the PMO practice.
• Ensures project management methodologies and change management procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Candidates should have started their career as a Developer/Programmer.
• Experience in managing projects involving implementation or customization of commercial off-the-shelf insurance software applications.
• Experience with mobile/web technologies, system integrations, software upgrades, Intelligent Automation (RPA), and infrastructure hardware.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with varying complexity and duration.
• Strong skills in creating and maintaining project schedules, financial forecasts, and risk management plans.
• Experience in managing project teams within a matrix organization.
• Knowledge of project management processes, procedures, and templates.
• Ability to identify and escalate project risks and issues in a timely manner.

Nice to Have

• Experience with artificial intelligence language tools for project documentation or enhancement.
