Technical SEO & Data Intelligence Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Own setup, maintenance, and optimization of Google Tag Manager (Web + Server-Side), including custom tags, data layers, conversion tracking, and third-party pixel implementation, with a preference for candidates with server-side GTM experience.
• Lead configuration and ongoing management of GA4, implementing Google's recommended events (eCommerce, scroll, search, video interactions) and ensuring enhanced measurement is correctly configured for robust reporting.
• Manage schema.org implementation in Magento, maintaining and optimizing structured data for products, reviews, breadcrumbs, FAQs, and other key areas to boost SEO and AI discoverability.
• Optimize content and site structure for visibility in AI and large language models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) using semantic markup and machine-readable metadata.
• Work closely with internal marketing, performance analysts, developers, and external agencies to translate campaign tracking needs into scalable tagging and reporting solutions.
• Own setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of RJ Metrics to ensure accurate reporting of orders, discounts, revenue, and other critical metrics.
• Identify and resolve crawl, indexation, and site structure issues using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and related tools, supporting Core Web Vitals and page speed initiatives.
• Maintain and analyze tools like RJ Metrics and Mouseflow to identify site interaction trends and optimize customer experience.
• Proactively test tracking/data accuracy, debug issues, and maintain documentation for GTM, GA4, and structured data setups.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical SEO, digital analytics, or MarTech roles, preferably in an eCommerce environment.
• Expert-level proficiency in Google Tag Manager (web and server-side), including custom event and data layer implementation.
• Hands-on experience configuring and auditing Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for recommended events, enhanced measurement, and eCommerce tracking.
• Deep understanding of schema.org markup and experience managing structured data in Magento.
• Proven experience auditing and configuring RJ Metrics or similar BI tools to ensure complete revenue and order-level reporting.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM optimization strategies for generative search visibility.
• Skilled in using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, RJ Metrics, Mouseflow, and Chrome DevTools for diagnostics.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills to translate technical solutions into business outcomes.

Nice to Have

• Experience with server-side Google Tag Manager setup and optimization.
