Job Description

About the Role

The Territory Product Specialist partners with the assigned Sales Division to drive sales and new customer acquisition by providing technical and feature knowledge of products. The role involves delivering product training, promoting the brand within dealer organizations, customers, and employees, and supporting multiple product lines within a specified region. It includes performing product demonstrations, comparisons, and supporting customer and dealer engagement activities to enhance product understanding and sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Region Team to determine engagement with dealer partners to achieve regional goals through new customer acquisition and customer retention.
  • Schedule and conduct activities such as dealer calls, demonstrations, customer visits, farm shows, open houses, and training sessions in coordination with the Region Team.
  • Assist dealer partners in assessing customer operational technical needs and advise on suitable products, including precision farming technology.
  • Communicate and demonstrate technical and feature knowledge of products and precision farming solutions to dealer sales partners, end-users, and internal personnel.
  • Perform product training and demonstrations with dealer partners, customers, and sales leads, supporting the start-up of new customers.
  • Set up and demonstrate equipment as needed, ensuring proper documentation and submission of demo reports in CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Conduct field evaluations of equipment and formulate feature and pricing comparisons.
  • Support Product Management with creation of training materials, comparisons, and promotional content.
  • Partner with the COA Sales Organization to recommend feature improvements to support product sales.
  • Lead and participate in internal and external training programs, and provide technical promotion at farm shows and group presentations.
  • Support product evaluations and testing for new products, including pre-series machinery, as needed.
  • Adhere to company values, practices, policies, and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

  • Experience in technical product demonstrations and customer training.
  • Ability to communicate technical and feature knowledge of products effectively.
  • Experience with precision farming technology such as GPS steering, mapping, and telematics.
  • Ability to perform field evaluations and comparative analysis of equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills to schedule activities and document reports in CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region for dealer and customer engagement.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in agricultural equipment or machinery.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Experience supporting product management with material creation.
