Job Description

About the Role

The Transition & Activation Project Manager for MSG Healthcare is responsible for managing and coordinating activities related to planning and executing healthcare medical equipment projects within the Market Segment Group. This role can be performed remotely across the United States with regular business travel, focusing on project management, stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, and process improvement in healthcare transition and activation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed strategies for multiple MSG Transition & Activation projects, including project management plans, schedules, objectives, resources, and budgets.
  • Leverage understanding of Healthcare departments and operations to account for project scope, risks, and resources to successfully activate projects.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders such as clinicians, administrators, architects, engineers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure alignment of project goals and requirements.
  • Foster and enhance relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors by demonstrating performance and industry knowledge to generate future opportunities.
  • Facilitate clear communication among stakeholders, provide project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations for smooth transition activities.
  • Develop, manage, and communicate the master project schedule for transition and activation activities.
  • Identify risks and issues impacting project delivery, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Anticipate and mitigate challenges related to procurement delays, budget overruns, technical issues, and regulatory compliance.
  • Review and manage pay applications, accounts receivable, project contracts, budgets, and schedules with clients.
  • Manage staffing of project resources, including employees, contractors, and vendors, in alignment with budgets.
  • Review contracts, conduct negotiations, and contribute to management updates during Operations Review Meetings.
  • Support a culture of inclusivity and employee development, including participation in hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, and training.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and improve standard project processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency.
  • Perform other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of related healthcare transition and activation experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of contracts.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to various levels of management.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proficient application of continuous improvement principles.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and collaborative tools.
  • Active listening skills, ability to ask clarifying questions, learn quickly, and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Good judgment to solve problems, escalate issues, and delegate responsibilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across organizational levels and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to embrace change and quickly learn new processes and technologies.
  • Willingness to travel regularly via airplane, car, or train.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working at construction sites and exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations and medical equipment projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related healthcare transition and activation experience or equivalent.
