The Upstream Marketing Devices, Senior Manager, is responsible for supporting the development of global pipeline innovations, global upstream marketing strategies including positioning, messaging, branding, and overall strategic planning and product launches, all in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive growth for the Global Aesthetics Devices business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive select pipeline projects by providing customer feedback, market insights, and work cross-functionally to drive product development programs. Responsible for defining marketing requirements and validating product inputs in collaboration with HF engineers and training lead, supporting financial forecasts and business cases, development of launch plans, and collecting research and data to support commercial strategy.
  • Partner with Market Analytics and external partners to execute market research initiatives around customer needs and product validation. Provide technical expertise to assist in their execution. Stay connected with market needs through frequent interaction with regional marketing partners, customers (In-region visits, attendance at industry meetings, review medical journals, etc.).
  • Support the development of the scientific publication strategy for responsible products in close partnership with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Marketing teams.
  • Support and execute new product launches in close partnership with regional teams and other key stakeholders. Lead the development of marketing strategy, branding, positioning, messaging, and key asset creation, in collaboration with Training Lead and Downstream Team when needed.
  • Collaborate with Technical Operations and Global Digital Technology Teams to ensure product readiness, including launch inventory planning, system integration, and software launch roll-out. Work with Global RA to ensure global internationalization of launches.
  • Partner closely with regional marketing to gather input on customer needs and ensure alignment with product and company strategy. Work collaboratively with functional areas and strategic partners to address business issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage marketing and advertising resources related to upstream marketing to meet strategic needs and drive profitability.
  • Support Sr Director in identifying external partners for acquisition or strategic partnership, including developing business cases and forecasts to support partnerships or acquisitions.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of regional markets and needs. Contribute to global brand strategies, including value proposition, targeting, segmentation, positioning, branding, product launch, and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure strong cross-collaboration with regional marketing, R&D, GTO, Corporate Communications, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders for key initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Marketing or Relevant Majors.
  • 6-7 Years of product management or strategic marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching products in a similar role.
  • Basic finance knowledge, including business case development, pricing structure, COGS / G.P. analysis, P&L analysis, and budget management.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Aesthetics market and customers globally.
  • Help drive early phase upstream product and innovation strategies.
  • Collaborate with downstream teams to deliver customer-facing and internal assets while maintaining budget and timing expectations.
  • Collect, organize, and interpret marketing research, scientific publications, medical inquiries, competition, and intellectual property filings.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to articulate plans clearly and proactively identify opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong team player.

Nice to Have

  • 9+ Years of progressive product or strategic global marketing experience with pharmaceuticals, medical devices, life sciences, or technology.
  • Basic understanding of human factors principles, including usability testing.
  • Experience working with medical or healthcare professionals.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent organizational, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Passion for professional marketing and product innovation.
