About the Role

The US Commercial Insights Lead - IZERVAY is a core member of a dedicated Integrated Product Team at Astellas Pharma Inc., responsible for leading commercial insights activities for the brand. The role involves serving as the primary interface between the product team and the Commercial Insights Organization, delivering strategic, timely, and actionable data-driven insights to support business decisions and maximize commercial success. The position is based in Northbrook, Illinois, with potential for hybrid work in accordance with company guidelines. Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic Commercial Insights plans and act as a key advisor driving high quality decisions for a priority product as a core member of the Integrated Product Team.
Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic partner for Commercial Insights within the integrated product team.
Prioritize business questions and synthesize insights and recommendations from across the organization to support decision-making.
Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of forecasting, market research, competitive intelligence, and analytics needs for the brand.
Develop and articulate integrated customer-level insights based on a deep understanding of brand priorities and drivers of product performance.
Partner with stakeholders including commercial intelligence colleagues, external agencies, finance, sales operations, market access, medical affairs, patient centricity, and global teams to ensure insights are integrated holistically.
Drive coordination across stakeholders to maximize brand performance and provide clear, actionable strategic guidance.
Ensure the brand has accurate near and mid-term forecasts, as well as foresight into risks and opportunities.
Incorporate data and insights to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure initiative effectiveness.
Stay current with evolving market research, competitive intelligence, forecasting, and analytics best practices, ensuring organizational processes remain compliant and adaptable.
Demonstrate a future-focused, outcome-oriented mindset and empower the team to pursue innovative ideas.
Drive consolidation of data for efficient analysis, reporting, and insight gathering to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

Experience in developing and executing strategic insights plans for a commercial product.
Ability to serve as a strategic partner and decision-maker within a cross-functional team.
Strong understanding of market research, forecasting, competitive intelligence, and analytics.
Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills across diverse groups including external agencies and internal functions.
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
Strong organizational skills to prioritize business questions and deliver timely results.
Knowledge of best practices in market research, competitive intelligence, and analytics.
Ability to monitor and establish KPIs and measure the effectiveness of initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to stay current with industry trends and ensure compliance.
