Veterinary Software Project Management - Manager II

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a project management team focused on delivering high-quality software implementations to veterinary hospitals.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget across 22 SaaS products for both independent and corporate customer segments.
• Manage staff and/or supervisors by assigning work, monitoring activities, evaluating performance, and promoting staff training and development.
• Support the development and adherence to team/department policies and procedures with a focus on continuous process improvement.
• Manage or provide guidance on escalated or critical issues with clients or within functional roles, coordinating with related departments to resolve issues.
• Partner with functional leaders from Sales, Conversions, Training, and Product Development to align and deliver software implementation and onboarding.
• Identify and implement strategies to enhance customer experience and improve business operations.
• Lead or contribute to process improvements based on evaluation of existing procedures and business needs.
• Utilize data, metrics, and system tools to ensure efficiency and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Prepare reports and analyses to summarize work activities, highlight issues, and present results to peers and senior management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Project Management, with preference for SaaS industry or PMO leadership experience.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and direct work in a fast-paced environment with adaptability and positive leadership.
• Minimum of 3 years' people leadership experience managing moderate-size or complex teams.
• Strong business acumen, preferably with experience in software deployment or veterinary practice operations.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence without authority and communicate effectively.
• Reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills to resolve issues efficiently.
• Proficiency with personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems.
• Experience being accountable for team performance and results within own discipline or function.
• Ability to adapt plans and priorities to meet resource and operational challenges.
• Decision-making guided by policies, procedures, and business plans, with the ability to address issues impacting beyond own team.

• Experience with software onboarding and implementation.
• Veterinary practice business operations knowledge.
