About the Role

The Vice President of Sales and Marketing at IDEX Health & Science is responsible for leading the global sales and marketing strategy, execution, and performance. This role involves providing strategic vision, leading cross-functional teams across North America, Europe, and Asia, and building a high-performing organization in the life sciences instruments sector. The position reports to the President of IDEX Health & Science and is part of the leadership team, with a focus on sustainable, profitable growth and fostering a culture aligned with IDEX's core values of Trust, Team, and Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate, and lead the strategic plan and execution for sales and marketing, collaborating with IH&S Leadership to support overall strategic planning.
  • Manage and cultivate key strategic relationships at the senior level within the Life Sciences industry with customers and channel partners.
  • Lead the global sales and marketing teams to achieve sustainable, profitable growth and develop strategies for training and development of the sales function.
  • Embrace the IDEX Operating Model and deliver on key metrics such as pipeline health, orders, revenue growth, profitability, and employee engagement.
  • Effectively collaborate with VP GMs, Business Line Leaders, and Functional Leaders (Finance, HR, Operations) to drive better business outcomes through debate and innovation.
  • Foster a culture of owner-mindset and accountability, celebrating and developing high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of growth and exceeding plans in a dynamic leadership role.
  • Global Sales & Marketing leadership experience in businesses with $300M+ revenue, specifically in Life Science Instruments (analytical instruments and biotechnology).
  • Experience in building high-performing organizations and leading sales and marketing teams in complex selling environments.
  • Deep knowledge of technologies and applications in the Life Sciences / Biotech market, such as next-generation sequencing, PCR, spatial profiling, DNA synthesis, chromatography, mass spectrometry, and molecular biology methods.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills with the ability to evaluate and align organizational talent with strategic goals.
  • Hands-on leadership style that inspires success and excellence at all levels.
  • Experience integrating acquired entities into larger corporate environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Science or Engineering preferred, MBA is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Specific experience in Life Science Instruments such as analytical instruments and biotechnology.
  • Experience turning market data into strategic growth plans.
