About the Role

The VP, Ashley Furniture Marketing Leader is responsible for leading the marketing organization for the Ashley Furniture credit portfolio within Synchrony. This role involves developing and implementing marketing strategies to achieve growth metrics, working collaboratively with sales and partner organizations, and leading a team of direct reports. The position requires a strategic leader capable of managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, digital assets, and client relationships in a financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the business and the Synchrony client team to lead, develop, implement, and monitor dynamic annual growth plans.
Lead and develop a team of client marketing professionals.
Establish and develop key relationships at senior levels of partner organizations.
Understand and incorporate the client's key business objectives, strategic vision, and marketing calendar into the planning process to achieve set objectives.
Optimize contractual marketing spend and pursue additional funds to meet growth goals.
Identify portfolio segments to target for partner and business gain; test and implement programs to grow these segments.
Manage all aspects of the value proposition, including tracking industry trends, competitor's and customer experience metrics.
Ensure program profitability and penetration through continued enhancements.
Drive program to effectively work in an omni-channel environment.
Ensure digital assets are in place and optimized.
Monitor & manage performance of all key credit and marketing metrics vs. plan.
Lead the portfolio reviews as a part of the Synchrony planning cycle.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries.
A minimum of 8 years of marketing experience including 5 years of managerial responsibility.
At least 5 years of growth marketing leadership skills with exposure to consumer-facing programs/products.
2 years of experience with digital channels - online and mobile.
Ability to travel as needed; approximately 30%.

Nice to Have

Advanced degree (MS, MBA).
Marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries.
Collaborative style and approach with comfort working in a matrixed, decentralized structure.
Outstanding communication, relationship building, influencing, and collaboration skills.
Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans.
Consumer finance industry experience.
Familiarity with value proposition and/or new product development processes.
Experience managing customer loyalty programs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 10 years of marketing experience, or Bachelor's Degree.
8 years of marketing experience with managerial responsibility.
Experience with digital channels, online and mobile.

Benefits & Perks

Salary range of $150,000 - $250,000 annually, eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
