About the Role

The WAY Intern - CNN Underscored Social Media position is a six-month internship based in NYC, designed for high-performing rising seniors to gain professional experience in social media content creation, digital content strategy, and audience engagement within Warner Bros. Discovery's dynamic environment. The program aims to develop skills, deepen understanding of the media industry, and prepare interns for future career opportunities, offering mentorship, networking, and exposure to industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Create and post daily content across social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, and Pinterest.
Ideate, film, edit, and voiceover videos for TikTok and Instagram to engage audiences.
Support the team in developing and implementing strategies to grow CNN Underscored's social media following.
Collect and analyze data to measure social performance, audience engagement, follower growth, and video views.
Post daily content to Instagram Stories using shoppable links and engaging social copy.
Pitch new video concepts and series ideas on a monthly basis.

Requirements

Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship, with proof of enrollment.
Must be a rising Senior undergraduate, graduating in Spring 2026, and at least 18 years old.
Must be in academic good standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Strong knowledge of video editing, proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, and in-app editing tools.
Experience with social media platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok, preferably for a national brand or publisher.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with social media analytics tools.
Previous internship or work experience in social media content creation.
Knowledge of shoppable links and social commerce strategies.

Qualifications

Enrollment in an accredited college or university for the full internship period.
Rising senior undergraduate student, graduating in Spring 2026.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
