About the Role

The WAY Intern - CNN Underscored Social Media position is a six-month internship based in NYC, designed for high-performing rising seniors to support the social media team in expanding reach and engagement across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, and Pinterest. The internship offers hands-on experience in digital content creation, social media strategy, and audience engagement within Warner Bros. Discovery's dynamic environment, emphasizing professional growth and industry insight.

Key Responsibilities

Create and post content daily across social media platforms, including Instagram Stories, TikTok, and others.
Ideate, film, edit, and voiceover videos for TikTok and Instagram to engage followers.
Collect and analyze data to measure social performance and audience engagement metrics.
Support the team in developing and implementing strategies to grow CNN Underscored's social media following.
Post daily content with engaging social copy and shoppable links.
Regularly track and measure follower growth, engagement rate, video views, and other relevant data.
Pitch new video concepts and series ideas on a monthly basis.

Requirements

Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship, with proof of enrollment.
Must be a rising Senior undergraduate, graduating in Spring 2026, and at least 18 years old.
Must be in academic good standing with a 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.
Strong knowledge of video editing, proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, and in-app editing tools.
Experience in social media management for a national brand or publisher, especially with Instagram and TikTok.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Flawless social copywriting skills.
Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work visa sponsorship.

Nice to Have

Experience with social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Pinterest.
Experience with social media analytics and performance measurement.
Creative ideation skills for video content and series concepts.

Qualifications

Enrollment in an accredited college or university for the full internship duration.
Rising Senior undergraduate, graduating Spring 2026.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
