About the Role

Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), New Jersey's academic health center, offers an integrated approach to education, clinical care, and research aimed at improving human health. The department of Psychiatry at Rutgers University-New Brunswick is seeking a per diem Work Assistant to engage with community stakeholders via social media platforms, initially Instagram, to promote resources and raise awareness of mental wellness. The role involves working closely with trainees and community partners to expand engagement and promote the Rutgers brand nationally.

Key Responsibilities

Start up and direct the Department's Instagram platform as a business.
Engage community leaders to promote resources at Rutgers Health and raise awareness of mental wellness.
Conduct ongoing onsite visits to community groups to build engagement.
Expand current community regional relationships through Instagram, including organizations like Catholic Charities, Princeton Garden Theater, and Rutgers Cinema.
Promote the Rutgers brand nationally by digitally engaging community stakeholders such as Crossroads Comedy Theater and Scarlet Lane Brewery.
Engage trainees to implement a business plan for posting content, including resident-related posts primarily on Tuesdays and non-resident related content.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Must have written and oral communication skills.
Familiarity with social networking and social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, and Instagram.
Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to multi-task.

Nice to Have

Bachelor's degree.
Education in Public Health or Psychology.
Experience in website management, such as refreshing website content with news items and photos.
