About the Role

The Field Sales Manager at National Safety Apparel is responsible for driving business growth within a specified territory by cultivating relationships with end users and distributor customers. The role involves supporting NSA's mission to keep American workers safe through sales, training, and promotional programs, with frequent travel required to various states. The position focuses on increasing market share and revenue by building strong customer relationships and collaborating with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy for NSA's end users within a designated territory.
  • Build and maintain strong positive relationships with NSA's direct customers, providing training and motivation to encourage the promotion of NSA products to their end user customers.
  • Collaborate with NSA's Director of Strategic Accounts to enhance strategies aimed at increasing NSA's market share with major distributor customers through end user training and promotional programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to effectively address customer needs and streamline sales processes.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts, while being fully aware of new products and competitive dynamics.
  • Participate in industry-related trade shows and associations.
  • Travel frequently within assigned territories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of sales experience preferred.
  • Proven success as an Account Manager, Field Sales Manager, or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales processes and dynamics.
  • Excellent leadership, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics and reporting.
  • Physical ability to sit/stand for long periods, lift up to 50lbs, and carry sample bags.

  • Knowledge of emerging markets and competitive dynamics.
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing sales environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
