About the Role

Account Director - Data Centers at Hitachi Energy is a strategic leadership role focused on driving growth, building long-term relationships with key data center clients, and delivering innovative solutions. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, representing the voice of the customer, and contributing to a global mission to promote sustainability and connectivity in the energy sector. The position is based in Seattle, Northern Virginia, or the San Francisco Bay Area, with a focus on hyperscale data center clients and complex account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with senior executives at key data center accounts
  • Lead strategic account planning and execution to drive revenue and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across five business units to deliver integrated solutions
  • Represent the voice of the customer within Hitachi Energy and resolve complex challenges
  • Identify growth opportunities and lead high-impact solution development
  • Mentor and guide internal teams to align with account strategy
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business; MBA preferred
  • 12+ years of account management experience, ideally in complex, matrixed environments
  • 5+ years working with data center clients, preferably hyperscale
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Experience managing global or multi-regional accounts
  • Candidate must already have work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business
