About the Role

The Account Executive (AE) will be breaking ground into our next 100 new logo clients in the North America territory selling our full suite of products (Scout, Ranger, and Navigator). This role involves hunting new clients among hedge funds, asset managers, and other financial services segments such as banks. The position offers opportunities for lead generation through events, trips, cold calling, and inbound inquiries, with responsibilities including demonstrations, negotiations, and closing deals. It is a hybrid role with in-person meetings in New York and travel for events and business trips across the US. The role provides a pathway for promotion to Senior Account Executive within 18-24 months and offers exposure to the fintech SaaS industry in a high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting a territory of 200 accounts through outbound calling of cold leads and existing pipeline, attending events, and quarterly business trips.
  • Collaborating with marketing and SDR teams to leverage campaigns and events for lead generation.
  • Conducting discovery calls to qualify leads that fit the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and understand their challenges, goals, and needs.
  • Demonstrating how Neudata products address customer pain points through story-led and technical demos.
  • Addressing objections and running hands-on trials in collaboration with research and product teams to meet trial success criteria.
  • Providing insights and recommendations to act as a trusted advisor with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Drafting proposals and negotiating contract terms to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities and opportunities in the CRM.
  • Updating sales forecasts regularly to ensure visibility into potential revenue.
  • Prioritizing deals in the pipeline, following up consistently, and maintaining sales momentum.
  • Providing feedback to product and marketing teams based on customer insights and objections.
  • Achieving or exceeding assigned quotas for revenue or deal volume.
  • Refining sales strategies continuously to improve performance and meet goals.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and product updates.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of SaaS Account Executive mid-market or enterprise closing sales experience.
  • Evidence of being in a full hunter role, such as taking a cold account to close won.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage multiple stakeholders in an opportunity.
  • Ability to run complex trial processes independently.
  • Courage to ask tough questions.
  • A passion for sales, investments, and/or data.
  • Presentable and articulate online and in-person communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Good CRM hygiene.
  • Resilience.
  • Experience selling a research product, data product, or software product.
  • Use of a sales qualification methodology (like MEDDICC).
  • Eligibility to work in the state of New York, United States, and availability to start immediately or ASAP.
