Account Executive - Captive Management

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of new business for the Company and give input to the creation of marketing and new business strategies.
• Implement marketing and new business strategies and identify new business opportunities within existing client base.
• Take responsibility for a number of new business development projects and promote the Company within and outside the Willis Group.
• Provide technical advice within the Practice as requested.
• Liaise with insurance and reinsurance brokers, and make underwriting decisions in conjunction with the Client Service Team and Practice Underwriting resources.
• Monitor exposures and risk transfer pricing within the assigned portfolio.
• Oversee regulatory approval for changes to the business plan and Board approval for underwriting decisions.
• Monitor domicile solvency and capital requirements, and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate governance standards.
• Manage financial aspects including accounting for premiums, reserving, producing management and statutory accounts, budgets, and cash flow statements.
• Coordinate with investment managers, assist with board meetings, and ensure timely production of board papers and minutes.
• Participate in and provide input on strategic and operational issues, maintain contact with client directors, and support senior leadership with thought leadership.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance or related area or CPA qualification.
• Maintenance of CPA qualification through CPD, as appropriate.
• Advanced computer skills.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of captive insurance and the insurance industry with a minimum of 15 years' experience.
• Experience in accounting for captives, insurance products, and problem resolution.
• Knowledge of Willis Towers Watson platforms and structure.
• Ability to monitor quality control, influence and negotiate, and solve complex issues.
• Strong client relationship, project management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Compliance awareness and ability to uphold high standards of corporate governance.

Nice to Have

• Experience with monitoring regulatory and solvency requirements.
• Experience in strategic and operational planning within insurance or financial services.

Qualifications
