About the Role

Willis Towers Watson's Captive Solutions team delivers customized, data-driven insurance management services across Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB), Human Capital and Benefits (HCB), and Investment, Risk and Reinsurance (IRR). The Account Executive is responsible for managing a portfolio of captive insurance companies by providing strategic, operational, and financial oversight tailored to each client's unique risk profile. The role involves working closely with clients, regulators, and service providers, shaping underwriting strategy, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality reporting. It offers a dynamic opportunity to lead within a team of top-tier professionals dedicated to delivering value through Willis Towers Watson's platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of new business for the Company and give input to marketing and new business strategies.
  • Identify new business opportunities, including cross-selling within existing client base.
  • Promote the Company within and outside the Willis Group.
  • Provide technical advice within the Practice upon request.
  • Liaise with insurance and reinsurance brokers as required.
  • Make underwriting decisions in conjunction with the Client Service Team and Practice Underwriting resources.
  • Monitor exposures and risk transfer pricing within the assigned portfolio.
  • Oversee regulatory approval for changes to the business plan and Board approval for underwriting decisions.
  • Ensure timely production of management accounts, statutory accounts, budgets, cash flow statements, and other financial information.
  • Assist with the adoption of appropriate accounting practices and ensure adherence.
  • Manage cash requirements and liaise with investment managers.
  • Coordinate board meetings, produce board papers and minutes, and ensure compliance with corporate governance.
  • Participate in strategic and operational discussions, support client relationships, and maintain contact with client directors.
  • Support senior leadership with board insight and thought leadership.

Requirements

  • A 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area or CPA qualification.
  • Maintenance of CPA qualification through CPD, as appropriate.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of captive insurance and the insurance industry (minimum 15 years).
  • Experience in accounting for captives, insurance products, and problem resolution.
  • Knowledge of Willis Towers Watson platforms and structure.
  • Ability to monitor quality control.
  • Strong client relationship skills.
  • Project management skills.

  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Compliance knowledge.
  • Ability to solve complex issues and influence stakeholders.

Qualifications
