About the Role

The Account Executive is responsible for supporting and expanding client relationships within government accounts in designated territories, delivering efficient and scalable solutions for local and regional clients by focusing on proactive client management and delivering tailored services. The role involves engaging with clients to understand regional requirements, coordinating with internal teams for effective service delivery, and maximizing satisfaction through consistent follow-up. Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivates and strengthens relationships with existing accounts and builds relationships with new clients, making educated recommendations on product offerings, and ensuring client needs are met.
  • Prospect and generate leads for target accounts to increase new revenue.
  • Mine existing parent accounts for service expansion opportunities.
  • Wins new projects and sites from existing parent accounts.
  • Identifies and pursues opportunities to convert competitor customers to our products.
  • Increases product and unit sales outside of initial scope.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure equipment availability, timely delivery, and proper servicing.
  • Manages account plans within assigned regional/local territories, identifying growth opportunities and implementing strategies to improve client satisfaction and retention.
  • Meets or exceeds regional revenue goals.
  • Provides tailored solutions that align with client requirements and maximize cross-selling or upselling within accounts.
  • Drives relationships for clients in the region/locally, ensuring effective communication, problem resolution, and proactive support for ongoing projects.
  • Works with internal teams to coordinate service delivery, address client service issues, and ensure a consistent client experience.
  • Presents recommendations and service options to clients to demonstrate product benefits, pricing, and value-added services.
  • Leverages company offerings, providing solutions to a wide range of issues and tailoring service to client needs.
  • Leads the sales process from initial contact through proposal, negotiation, and finalization, ensuring smooth transactions and client satisfaction.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of the full range of solution offerings.
  • Provides exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle and post-sales.
  • Stays informed about industry trends and developments.
  • Allocates resources efficiently to maximize outcomes and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-year bachelor's degree or equivalent years of sales experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years outside sales experience or equivalent.
  • More than 35% travel required with reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of equipment rental agreements and coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients in different phases of the sales process while maintaining quality of service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to identify and recommend effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and foster strong client relationships.
  • Knowledge of sales processes and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities or client needs while maintaining service quality.
  • Physical ability to perform outside sales activities, including extended driving and site visits.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with equipment rental agreements and coordination.
  • Proficient knowledge of sales processes and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
