About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategy and campaign planning for multiple high-profile client accounts.
• Engage and maintain strong relationships with key reporters across a range of issue-based beats.
• Write and edit persuasive external and internal documents such as press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, editorial board memos, and communications plans.
• Implement integrated campaigns that leverage public affairs, media, and digital tactics to reach key audiences and achieve client goals.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in strategic communications, media relations, advocacy, campaign politics, journalism or a related field.
• Strong news sense and knowledge of the media, with experience engaging and maintaining relationships with key reporters.
• Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh ideas and identify rapid response opportunities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, handle multiple assignments, work quickly, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to details.
• Personal commitment to and knowledge of social justice.

Nice to Have

• Experience in social and digital platforms.
• Ability to analyze and shape news.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience of at least 3 years in strategic communications or related fields.
