About the Role

They are currently seeking an IT Sales Executive to support the greater Detroit, MI or Grand Rapids, MI area. The role involves driving business growth by expanding IT solutions, working closely with clients to understand their needs, providing technical expertise, and delivering exceptional client service. Xerox has a legacy of innovation in office and production print technology, software, and services, aiming to meet the needs of today's global, distributed workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify prospects inside and outside the client base of Xerox Business Solutions and gain initial appointments with key decision makers within the SMB space.
  • Determine customer pain points related to management of their IT environment, technology, and assets, and conduct opportunity follow-up.
  • Present the benefits of Xerox IT services, including financial justification and improvements in quality, performance, and uptime.
  • Lead strategic discussions related to IT strategies to a non-technical audience.
  • Work closely with sales teams to develop opportunities and qualify/quantify leads.
  • Gain a specified number of new accounts each month through telemarketing, networking, and cold calling campaigns.
  • Develop and track opportunities in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with other divisions to participate in cross-selling opportunities and maximize selling potential.
  • Create proposals in collaboration with vCIO and sales staff to meet client IT objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in Managed IT services preferred.
  • Specific experience selling IT solutions, including Network, Data Center, Managed Services, Cloud Services, and Security Solutions.
  • Self-directed, adaptable, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills.
  • Superior work ethic and high energy level.
  • Willingness to take risks and try innovative approaches.
  • Valid Driver's License with a relatively clean driving record.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in selling IT solutions such as Network, Data Center, Managed Services, Cloud, and Security Solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience in Managed IT services.
