Job Description

About the Role

The Account Executive is responsible for closing profitable sales of technology-based solutions for customer business environments. The role involves researching sales leads, developing customer relationships, building strong partnerships with vendors, and generating proposals and quotations. The position requires owning all sales activities within assigned accounts or regions and achieving sales targets annually, with a focus on positioning solutions to solve business problems through financial analysis and value propositions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owns all sales activities in assigned accounts or regions and achieves established sales targets annually.
  • Creates business cases and high-level financial models including ROI and TCO analysis to help in positioning and selling technology-based solutions.
  • Sells to both large and SMB clients via direct new sales, alliances, and leveraging existing client base across broad markets and verticals.
  • Constructs clear value propositions for clients, including business benefits such as OPEX vs. CAPEX substitution, ROI, and TCO.
  • Engages proactively with Solutions and Services, Marketing, and Operations teams.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads from various sources such as industry ads, trade shows, internet, newspapers, and directories.
  • Builds and maintains research on prospective and current customers regarding their organizational structure and key relationships.
  • Establishes and maintains current customer and potential customer relationships.
  • Gains a clear understanding of customer business requirements.
  • Educates customers on the full breadth of solutions offered by Logicalis.
  • Prepares presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
  • Identifies and resolves customer concerns.
  • Demonstrates and promotes understanding and commitment to Logicalis' mission and values.
  • Supports and conducts self in a manner consistent with customer service expectations.
  • Provides guidance to technical and support staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales of technology-based solutions or related field.
  • Ability to research and develop sales leads from multiple sources.
  • Strong understanding of business benefits such as ROI, TCO, and OPEX vs. CAPEX.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and understand customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and customer engagement.
