Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a vision and plan to guide long-term pipeline generation.
  • Consistently deliver license, support, and service revenue targets, meeting deadlines.
  • Land, adopt, expand, and deepen sales opportunities across client organizations.
  • Explore relationships and business possibilities across the client's entire organizational chart.
  • Become known as a thought-leader in machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Expand relationships and orchestrate complex deals with diverse business stakeholders.
  • Utilize channels to identify and open new, uncharted opportunities.
  • Work as a team for efficient resource deployment and provide input to other corporate functions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of direct sales experience selling enterprise software to large enterprises in fast-growing, changing environments.
  • Experience applying partners, channels, and alliances to sell more efficiently and overachieve quotas.
  • Relevant software experience in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development, DevOps, security, or analytics.
  • Track record of new business development and exceeding sales targets within a defined territory.
  • Strong executive presence, excellent listening skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques; knowledge of methodologies like Force Management, MEDDPICC, and Challenger is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with subscription, SaaS, or cloud software.
  • Familiarity with the Splunk portfolio.
  • Domain expertise in IT Operations, Application Management, and Security/Compliance.
  • Experience with networking, servers, applications, virtualization, big data, and web technologies.

Qualifications

  • BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% when safe to do so.

  • On Target Earnings (OTE) between $270,600 and $399,000 per year, including base salary and incentive compensation.
