About the Role

This is a full-time, field-based Account Executive role at Guardant Health, a leading precision oncology company focused on guarding wellness and advancing cancer detection and treatment. The position involves promoting the SHIELD colorectal cancer blood test to healthcare providers in primary care settings, collaborating with sales leadership, and supporting early cancer detection efforts to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets through prospecting, relationship-building, and executing national sales strategies.
  • Target and engage healthcare providers to promote adoption of the SHIELD CRC blood test and other cancer screening products.
  • Educate and support primary care practices with in-depth product knowledge and training to ensure smooth integration of the screening tests into their workflow.
  • Collaborate with clinical, marketing, and product teams to align sales strategies and share feedback.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the territory and foster collaborations with regional and local laboratories.
  • Develop and execute business plans supporting the launch of new cancer screening technologies.
  • Monitor market trends, analyze competitive landscape, and report insights to leadership.
  • Provide high-touch customer service by resolving issues proactively and supporting healthcare providers throughout the sales process.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales role within the healthcare industry, such as diagnostics, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals, with a proven success record.
  • Experience with diagnostic products, particularly blood-based testing or cancer screening products, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in selling conversations, overcome objections, and align client needs with product offerings.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare provider landscape and technical product knowledge.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Veeva, or similar platforms.
  • Superior negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel daily within the territory and occasionally for national sales meetings.
