This role involves joining the growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team as a field-based Account Executive to promote cancer screening technologies, specifically colorectal cancer (CRC) liquid biopsy, to healthcare providers in primary care settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and target healthcare providers for high utilization of SHIELD to screen patients for CRC and other cancers.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals, maximize promotional budgets, and execute the national sales strategy in accordance with Guardant Health standards.
  • Drive strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities with primary care providers and their practices.
  • Develop and implement a business plan aligned with brand strategy to support product launch.
  • Identify and partner with national, regional, and local laboratories that offer phlebotomy draw agreements.
  • Initiate and secure lab service draw agreements, in-service and train specimen collection workflows.
  • Identify marketplace opportunities, share best practices, and communicate strategies to cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze competitive landscape within assigned accounts to determine trends and provide customer feedback to leadership.
  • Structure detailed strategic plans for gaining and retaining clients.
  • Manage implementation of promotional activities to support sales and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales team to ensure attainment of company goals and objectives.
  • Travel daily within the assigned territory and occasionally outside for regional or national meetings.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of direct experience in a customer-facing sales role in the healthcare industry (diagnostics, medical device, and/or pharmaceutical sales).
  • Proven track record of consistent closing abilities and exceeding sales expectations.
  • Comfortable communicating, presenting, and selling to healthcare providers and office staff.
  • Excellent oral and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with high confidentiality.
  • Ability to develop cross-functional relationships and work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce and Veeva).
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel daily within the territory and meet access requirements for healthcare facilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with sales/marketing of diagnostic products, especially blood-based testing or phlebotomy.
  • Product launch planning and execution experience.
  • Familiarity with primary care practice landscape in the territory.
