Job Description

About the Role

The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for working with existing customers in a consultative capacity to identify new opportunities for product growth. This is a sales position focused on developing relationships with current customers within an assigned territory, creating strategic plans, and expanding MasterControl's solutions into client organizations. The role involves account reviews, proposals, product demonstrations, and participation in trade shows or campaigns, all aimed at increasing customer product usage and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound customer prospecting for the development of targeted opportunities
  • Spearhead customer relationship activities
  • Maintain accurate customer account data in contact management software
  • Develop strategic plans to grow customer product usage
  • Create, maintain, forecast, and report on opportunities using contact management software
  • Facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns, and offerings
  • Troubleshoot client issues and coordinate with needed MasterControl departments for resolution

Requirements

  • Work experience should include a minimum of 2 years in a software sales, software sales support role, Life Science or Production/Manufacturing experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required
  • Ability to understand, implement, create, and communicate standard operating procedures for job functions is required
  • Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), computer systems, and communication tools is required
  • Ability to complete projects by critical deadlines
  • Knowledge of the Life Sciences, Medical Device and/or Manufacturing industries is preferred
  • Experience with or understanding of Manufacturing/Production is helpful
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Past software sales experience preferred
  • High-level of natural curiosity and business discovery acumen required

Nice to Have

  • Software sales and/or marketing experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of the Life Sciences, Medical Device and/or Manufacturing industries is preferred
  • Experience with or understanding of Manufacturing/Production is helpful
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Past software sales experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a relevant role (software sales, support, Life Science, or Manufacturing)
