About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead efforts in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning by providing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
• Manage employee performance by clearly communicating expectations, providing regular and constructive feedback, and addressing both positive contributions and areas for improvement.
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous growth.
• Promote a positive and inclusive work environment by recognizing achievements, addressing employee concerns promptly, and maintaining high levels of employee satisfaction and retention.
• Assist Talent Acquisition team with onboarding activities, including completing Form I-9, providing training plans, and sharing documents with HR.
• Oversee daily maintenance schedules, field crew performance, and operational efficiency to meet and exceed contractual obligations.
• Conduct site inspections to assess work quality, compliance, and opportunities for improvement.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement, site visits, and updates.
• Manage financial performance, including P&L oversight, labor, materials, inventory, and equipment expenses.
• Develop and implement streamlined processes to improve service delivery and overall performance.
• Prepare and present reports on account performance, site conditions, and client feedback.
• Collaborate in meetings to align on goals and discuss performance and growth opportunities.
• Stay informed on landscape technologies and practices, sharing knowledge with clients.
• Follow and promote safety policies, assist with safety investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform all tasks carried out by team members under their supervision.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5 years of landscaping or service industry experience, with 3 years managing a multi-million-dollar portfolio of business preferred.
• 2 years of leadership or management experience strongly preferred.
• Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) certification required within the first 90 days.
• Limited Urban Commercial Fertilizer Applicator (LF) Certification preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of equipment, tools, and machinery needed for agronomy operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage, deescalate, and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Proficient in computer and technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and mobile devices.
• Must possess a valid US driver's license and meet Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) verification requirements.
